The Step-Up 120 is the bigger brother of the famous Mighty Small 50 Spray and Grout Pump. The Step-Up 120 is designed for the applications that need to be pumped and sprayed with more flow and pressure. A built in vertical shaft mixer sits atop the Step-Up 120 and discharges right into the pump for an easy and practical way to fill the hopper. The 220v 2 h.p. motor and gearbox variation of our Mortarman 120 is ideal to handle the mixing, as it will mix just about any material perfectly. As the mixer is powered by inverter technology it also runs in reverse, which is very helpful when material needs to be broken up.

Use almost any material with aggregate no bigger than 3/8″.

Mix and pump at the same time

The Step-Up 120 comes standard with an IM25L stator which can handle up to 3/8 inch aggregate and produce up to 6.6 GPM and 450 PSI of pumping pressure. The Step-Up 120 is made to be towed on the road but also able to pass through 36″ doorways. A dual diaphragm maintenance free compressor is used to provide the air flow for spraying applications.

Step-Up 120 Features.

• The Step-Up’s rotor/stator is turned by a 3 HP, 220 volt single phase motor using inverter technology. The inverter provides smooth and continuous power even when the electrical source is not ideal. The inverter also aides in starting and controlling the frequency at which the pump operates. This allows the RPM’s to range between 30 and 100, enabling the Step-Up 120 to be used for numerous applications and materials.
• The Step-Up 120 is designed to be an all in one unit with optimum mixer output delivering material into the hopper. It is easy to setup and easy to operate, and does not require special electrical connections or an electrician to hook it up. All the motors combined are just under six horsepower and can operate on 16 Amps of 220 Volt single phase power. Competitor’s pumps with similar output require either three phase power or 72 Amps of single phase.

The Silent 300 can mix up to 6 cu ft. of material , while the hooper supplies the pump the previous batch of material. If the application requires spraying, no problem, just fire the on-board compressor. Clean-up has never been easier as the Silent 300 comes with its own pressure washing system.

Imer Optional Vibrating Screen

• Used to screen loose materials which may contain rocks, stones and debris larger than 5/16″
• The optional vibrating screen is needed when using your own loose material.
• This screen helps prevent large debris and stones from entering into the stator and screw which will cause a jamb.
• The vibrator will allow for stones up to 1/4″ in size.
• If you are using bagged, pre-blended material then this option is not necessary.
• The unit plugs right into the alloted outlet for this vibrator.
• It is also controlled right on the panel with an on/off switch.

The pump is controlled by the operator either with the 5 volt remote start/stop or, when used with the optional diaphragm compressor, is controlled with the open and closing of the valve at the gun. A rheostat controls the motor RPM which means that you have total control of the flow to match with the material being applied. All of the operation is controlled by the panel which can detect the wrong voltage and shut down as a safety. The unit will sense a jamb and cut the power to the pump. Thermal overloads are in place on the 100% duty cycle motor. This means that the motor can run all day, every day. The control panel will sense an overload before the thermal protection on the motor. This is just the level of how safe, secure and sophisticated this machine is.

The optional compressor is needed when used for spraying applications. The oil-less, continuous flow, low PSI high CFM compressor is the lungs of the unit. The pumping action is all on the operator. With the air valve closed the compressor senses back pressure and turns off the compressor and the pump motor. When the valve is re-opened the compressor and the pump kick on again to start where you left off.

There are 2 different nozzles for spraying. One is for heavy materials that needs to be built up such as fire proofing materials and mortars. The other nozzle is used for spraying of thinner coats such as acrylic stucco and coatings. This nozzle comes with different orifice sizes and when used without the compressor, makes a great tool for pointing, filling in cracks and joints in between stone walls.
