And while an air-powered Husqvarna is a natural choice indoors, it is also a valuable option outdoors in places where the air-change rate is low, such as in pipeline trenches, in deep foundation sites and on marine docks.

The K40 are powerful, highly robust and reliable industrial power cutters. Their design is based on the Husqvarna concept for ergonomics, safety and efficiency. Being pneumatic-powered makes the K40 perfect tools for indoor use, or for outdoor work where there is a supply of compressed air.

Compressed air can transfer generous amounts of power, and the blade can withstand heavy loads without loosing productivity. This makes the cutter extra maneuverable and lightweight.

The K3600 is a power cutter with truly unique characteristics and performance. Because its blade is driven from its periphery, not its center, it can cut 10 inches deep (260 mm) with just a 14 inch blade! Its unique weight to power ratio and hydraulic power source makes it a hand-held cutter which is exceptionally efficient and easy to use.

None of the depth limitations of blades driven from an arbor apply to this cutter. Off-center drive means the blade can cut almost as deep as its own diameter.

To achieve a cutting depth of 10 inches (260 mm) on a conventional power cutter you would need a blade diameter of 25-30 inches (approx. 700 mm), which would be simply unmanageable on a hand-held cutter.

A 10 inch cutting depth is enough to cut right through a normal wall, and if cuts can be made from both sides of a structure, this cutting depth can naturally be doubled.

The Husqvarna K3600 is hydraulic-powered, and completely modular in design for easy servicing. The entire design concept of this new Ring Saw makes for a genuinely efficient and easy-to-use cutter of very low weight.

The drive system, a patented Partner solution

On the K3600 the blade runs on and is held in place by four lateral rollers. Two of these, the guide rollers, engage in a groove on the side of the blade, pressing it under spring tension forward and into a drive wheel. The drive wheel is powered by the hydraulic motor and has a V-shaped groove which engages with the blade, driving it rather as a pulley drives a V-belt. The other two rollers, backing rollers, hold the blade in place from the other side.

The HP40, was developed especially for the Husqvarna K3600 and our other hydraulic power cutter, the Husqvarna K2500. This power pack is compact, air-cooled and needs no water supply. It also have low weight and volume in relation to its power output. Logical design and sophisticated equipment makes HP40 reliable and easy to use.

The Husqvarna HP40 is a compact hydraulic power pack with flow rate adjustment for the hydraulic tool classes 20, 30 and 40 l/min.

The HP40 is highly competitive in the hydraulic power unit market on account of its sheer versatility. The vast majority of hydraulic power packs are able to supply the flow rate for just one tool pressure class. The HP 40 can power a full range of tools, from wall saws and large core drills to small drilling hammers and pumps.

The HP40 has a 16 hp (12 kW) Briggs & Stratton Vanguard engine. The hydraulics regulate the engine speed, which means the engine will idle when the hydraulic tools are not working. Low weight, convenient handles, pneumatic tires, a hose and tool holder, and a centrally located lifting eye make this unit easy to transport and handle. On the top section of the frame there are handles which pull out when needed, and the unit is convenient to wheel about on its large wheels.

General Info The K2500 is an easy-to-use, hydraulic power cutter which is also very light. It makes an ideal complement to the K3600, delivering the capacity for demanding jobs which call for high power. This model is equipped for a 16″ (400 mm) cutting disc, offering a large cutting depth for demanding jobs.

The K2500 lets you work efficiently and comfortably for long spells at a time. Freedom from exhaust gases and low noise level make it especially suitable for jobs indoors. It is robust, reliable and requires very little service.

The hydraulic motor is located inside the main tool casing and drives the cutting disc via a belt. The distance between handles and distribution of weight between handles has been optimized for every normal working position. This makes it easy to guide and operate the cutter with precision and without undue exertion.

Using the K2500 for pre-cutting

The K2500 hydraulic power cutter can be operated in tandem with the K3600 Ring cutter. The initial cut is made with the K2500 to full depth, then the finishing cut is made with the K3600.

This method makes it easier to achieve a straight and perpendicular cut. The work is faster overall and blade economy is improved.

Servo for motor speed control

The Husqvarna K2500 has a servo function for its hydraulic motor speed control, for convenience and easy operation.

Reversible cutting arm

Reversing the cutting arm with just a few simple operations allows you to get the blade as close to the wall or floor as possible.

Blade brake

The hydraulic motor has a patented braking valve which is actuated as soon as the cutter’s speed control is released. The blade will then be stopped within seconds.
